The Empress tincture is packed full of herbs that significantly help with menstrual cramp pain, inflammation, nausea & digestive issues, circulation, heavy flow, PMS moodiness, anxiety , and is nutrient rich. This is now my (and other's) go-to instead of Midol, or other painkillers, which never really helped much anyway.
Ingredients: motherwort, raspberry leaf, black cohosh, yarrow, wood betony, lady's mantle, skullcap, calendula, chamomile & peppermint distilled in brandy
Take one to two droppers as needed during your moon cycle. Add to tea or water if you desire.
Motherwort is an ancient herbal ally used for menstrual irregularities and painful menses. It has antispasmodic properties which calm the uterus when cramping. It has healing powers for both the emotional and physical heart , and is quite useful for all heart conditions associated with anxiety and tension, including helping to lower high blood pressure. Functioning as a mild sedative, motherwort offers respite from sudden bursts of emotions. It's useful in treating premenstrual anxiety. It's also a specific remedy for peri-menopausal anxiety and depression as well as helping with disturbed sleep and the restlessness which can accompany this transition. Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.
Raspberry leaf is rich in vitamins and minerals which are all vital for the female body and may be lacking from the diet. Provides B vitamins, vitamin C and a number of minerals, including potassium, magnesium, zinc, phosphorus and iron. Supports a healthy menstrual cycle, relieves menstrual cramps and tones & relaxes pelvic muscles , including the uterus. Getting enough calcium can also help with PMS symptoms, since calcium plays a large role in regulating hormones. Elevated levels of hormones can be partly responsible for cramps, irritability, and mood swings. The calcium in raspberry leaf is easily absorbed and utilized by the body. Antioxidant.
Black cohosh has been used for hundreds of years for menstruation & menopause. It's mild sedative & antispasmodic properties lessen menstrual discomforts and by increasing blood flow to the uterus, it reduces the intensity of particularly painful cramps. Black cohosh is anti-inflammatory and wonderful at reducing spasm in both the smooth muscles, but also the skeletal muscles associated with menstrual cramping pain that radiates to the lower back. Aids in tone, regular function, and shedding of the uterine lining. It stabilizes hormone levels, and the herb's phytoestrogens benefit those with PMS.
